THE crowning of a Chinese mixed martial arts champion could usher in mass support for cage-fighting in the world’s most populous nation Cheap Nike Air Huarache , China’s leading MMA prospect Li Jingliang says.


Li, who is one of three Chinese fighters signed to the world’s largest MMA organization, the Ultimate Fighting Championship, claimed that his success and changing perceptions of the sport in China were already forging new fans.


The United States-based UFC vowed earlier this year that its sights were firmly fixed on the lucrative Chinese market as it works towards holding its first event in the country.


“My winning (against American Bobby Nash in January) and a changing attitude has helped raise the profile of the sport for people in China who didn’t know MMA before,” Li Nike Air Huarache Sale , who’s riding a two-fight win streak, told reporters on Tuesday during a conference call from Beijing.


“If China has an MMA champion... the whole country will get behind the sport.”


He added that a UFC event in China would also help boost MMA’s popularity.


“It’ll be a historic event... if such an event can come to China, and if I do compete in it, the title will be mine,” Li said.


The welterweight is set return to the cage at a UFC fight night in Singapore next month Nike Air Huarache Womens , as the organization returns to Asia after a 19-month hiatus.


The UFC has previously hosted two shows in China’s Macau, and produced a season of its signature reality TV series “The Ultimate Fighter” that aired on the mainland in 2014, featuring Chinese contenders battling for a UFC contract. But the efforts have yet to propel the sport into the Chinese mainstream.


During a press conference in Singapore in February, the UFC’s top brass said the success of local athletes would be pivotal to increasing the sport’s popularity across Asia.


Li’s comments come weeks after a video of MMA fighter Xu Xiaodong demolishing tai chi master Wei Lei in seconds went viral online. The beatdown sparked a heated debate over the relevance of traditional martial arts, with one Chinese tycoon offering 10 million yuan (US$1.45 million) to anyone willing to avenge the loss.


Asked about the video Nike Air Huarache Mens , Li, who originally trained in wrestling and Sanda, a Chinese form of kickboxing, argued that traditional Chinese martial arts were still valuable. “Chinese martial arts does have a place in MMA and I’m sure that someday we will see elements of wushu incorporated into MMA fights.”

North Korea vowed to wage a "merciless, sacred war" against the United States on Thursday, days before the launch of annual joint South Korea-US military exercises that have incensed Pyongyang.


"Nuclear weapons are not a monopoly of the US," the ruling party's official newspaper Nike Air Huarache , Rodong Sinmun, warned in an editorial carried by the state KCNA news agency.


"The US is seriously mistaken if it thinks its mainland is safe," the editorial added.


North Korea "will wage a merciless sacred war against the US now that the latter has chosen confrontation", the Rodong Sinmun said.


North Korea regularly ramps up the bellicose rhetoric before the start of the annual joint military exercises that always see a sharp surge in tensions on the divided peninsula.


Seoul and Washington insist they are defensive in nature, but they are condemned by Pyongyang as provocative rehearsals for invasion.


North Korea had offered a moratorium on nuclear testing if this year's joint drills were cancelled -- a proposal rejected by Washington as an "implicit threat" to carry out a fourth nuclear test.


The editorial came as South Korea and the United States conducted a joint naval drill Friday Cheap Air Huarache , involving 10 South Korean warships and a US Aegis destroyer.


The drill was a prelude to the eight-week Foal Eagle exercise which kicks off Monday and involves air, ground and naval field training, with around 200,000 Korean and 3,700 US troops.


A week-long Air Huarache Sale , largely computer-simulated joint drill, Key Resolve, also gets underway Monday.
